The first identification of rare human group A rotavirus strain G3P[10] with severe infantile diarrhea in eastern India

► G3P[10] rotavirus has been identified in stool sample of 14 months old girl child. ► This is the first report of any G3P[10] rotavirus strain from India. ► The genetic make-up of mcs60 is composed of human, simian, and caprine rotaviruses. ► This strain possibly a case of multiple reassortment. ► It is the first report on analysis of all 11 genes of any GARV G3P[10] worldwide.
