Synthesis of magnetic β-cyclodextrin-chitosan/graphene oxide as nanoadsorbent and its application in dye adsorption and removal

► Magnetic β-cyclodextrin-chitosan/graphene oxide was first synthesized as a novel adsorbent to adsorb methylene blue. ► The adsorption capacity of the biosorbent is higher than other adsorbents. ► It shows the facile and fast separation process of the biosorbent. ► Desorption studies were performed to evaluate adsorbent efficiency.
