Multiwall carbon nanotubes decorated with NiFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles, a new catalyst for voltammetric determination of cefixime

► Multiwall carbon nanotubes were decorated with NiFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles. ► Different spectroscopic methods were used for characterization of the nanoparticles. ► The suitability of NiFe2O4-MWCNT as a suitable sensor was checked as for cefixime. ► Cefixime was determined in different real samples with satisfactory result.
