Thermosensitive hydrogel based on poly(ether-ester anhydride) nanoparticle as drug delivery system: Preparation, characterization and biocompatibility

► A novel thermosensitive hydrogel was developed for drug-delivery applications. ► PES NPs underwent a sol-gel-sol transition as the temperature was increased. ► There were sustained release behaviors of drugs from PES NP hydrogel. ► Histopathological studies demonstrated that the PES NP hydrogel is biocompatible.
