Fabrication of magnetic chitosan nanoparticles grafted with β-cyclodextrin as effective adsorbents toward hydroquinol

► Magnetic β-cyclodextrin-chitosan was synthesized as a novel adsorbent to adsorb hydroquinol. ► The adsorption capacity of the magnetic β-cyclodextrin-chitosan is higher than other adsorbents. ► It shows the facile and fast separation process of the magnetic β-cyclodextrin-chitosan.
