Task- and resting-state functional connectivity of brain regions related to affection and susceptible to concurrent cognitive demand

► We combined 2 methods to map functional connectivity (FC) of an affective network. ► Task-based FC of this affective network was observed with SGC, NAcc and PCu. ► Only SGC also featured FC in a task-free setting. ► SGC might act as a hub within the delineated network. ► We show how novel modeling approaches provide new insights into cortical networks.
