An implanted 8-channel array coil for high-resolution macaque MRI at 3Â T

► An 8-channel array coil for macaque MRI was implanted in a rhesus monkey. ► A significant gain in SNR was observed compared to external coils. ► Very high resolution whole brain anatomical and diffusion images were acquired. ► Near-full brain fMRI-suitable EPI images were acquired at 0.5 mm isotropic resolution.
