Deformation-based brain morphometry in rats

► Deformation-based morphometry allows automated analysis of rat brain images. ► Rat brain images are acquired from standard clinical 3T MRI scanner. ► This method allows automatic detection of subtle volume changes. ► Analysis of cross-sectional as well as longitudinal data is supported. ► We demonstrate age-effects in rats and local volume changes after a stroke incident.
