A multi-center study: Intra-scan and inter-scan variability of diffusion spectrum imaging

► We assessed the intra- and inter-scanner variability in DSI measurements. ► A region-based and a tract-based analysis were performed. ► The variability increases when the number of channels in the receive coil differs. ► A different reconstruction method is however a bigger factor to cause variability in DSI data. ► Identical scanners have a low variation which permits us to pool DSI data.
