MEG evoked responses and rhythmic activity provide spatiotemporally complementary measures of neural activity in language production

► The aim was to clarify the connection between evoked and rhythmic source areas. ► 3 MEG data from a total of 31 subjects were used. ► Evoked and rhythmic responses yielded largely separate networks. ► Most overlap in primary visual and somatosensory areas. ► The two investigated phenomena are largely detached.
