Adaptive Kalman filtering for real-time mapping of the visual field

► We demonstrate the feasibility of real-time mapping of the visual field using fMRI. ► The goal: obtain sufficient data for clinical assessment during a single fMRI exam. ► Experimental design and analysis are robust to modeling error and patient motion. ► Determine success of fMRI study before the patient is removed from the scanner. ► Real-time paradigm will enable transfer of fMRI technology to clinical application.
