In vivo characterization of the vestibulo-cochlear nerve motion by MRI

► Vestibulo-cochlear nerve motion was measured using phase contrast MRI in 28 volunteers. ► It's a cardiac-cycle-dependent motion with an amplitude of less than 0.5 mm. ► An oscillating string pattern can be used to model it. ► A diminution of amplitude between cisternal and meatic parts is shown.
