► During the Stroop test, hypoactivation was observed. ► In parietal cortices and was associated with familial risk of Bipolar Disorder (BD). ► In striatal regions both in BD patients and their relatives with Major Depression. ► In the ventrolateral prefrontal cortex and was uniquely associated with BD.
