► In automotive rubber industry, a big portion of the research and development budget has been actually spent on addressing noise and vibration related issues of components and systems. The friction-related noise results in a great amount of customer warranty cost for automotive accessory rubber belts. The mechanisms and data of these tribological performance, noise features and system response are of utmost interest to the belt drive designers. This paper presents the experimental characterization and analysis of wet belt friction and the vibro-acoustic behavior.
