Performance characterization and CFD analysis of a novel shear enhanced membrane module in ultrafiltration of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)

► Design of a novel shear enhanced module with self cleaning facility. ► Performance characterization of the module in ultrafiltration of BSA. ► CFD analysis of the module has been performed. ► Regenerated flux after 5 hour of continuous run was 90% of startup permeate flux. ► With proper scale up the module can function as a unique cost effective device.
