Mortality on the Kidney Waiting List and After Transplantation in Patients With Peripheral Arterial Disease: An Analysis of the United States Renal Data System

Kidney transplantation from a DD did not offer survival advantage over being on the waiting list, in part due to a higher rate of severe vascular disease. Careful patient selection may improve outcomes in the DD group.
