A novel acorn based adsorbent for the removal of brilliant green

► AC was prepared from acorn as local abundance tree in Yasouj, Iran. Attached to a new chemically bonded silica gel. ► The present method is applicable for the removal of brilliant green as more toxic dye with low cost. ► This method has low cost, good extraction efficiency and lower toxicity.
