Effect of TiO2 addition on the fabrication of ceramic membrane supports: A study on the separation of oil droplets and bovine serum albumin (BSA) from its solution

► Effect of addition of TiO2 on the properties of the porous ceramic membrane supports was investigated. ► Potential of the supports was tested for oil and BSA separation from its solution. ► Higher rejection for oil (99%) and moderate rejection for BSA (40%) were obtained. ► Pore fouling mechanisms were also investigated for the oil-in-water emulsion system.
