Automated high-throughput neurophenotyping of zebrafish social behavior

► Zebrafish are an excellent model species to study complex social phenotypes. ► We describe a novel methodology for automated video-tracking of zebrafish shoaling. ► Our method is bi-directionally sensitive to various experimental manipulations. ► A significant correlation was found between novel and traditional (manual) analyses of shoaling.
