Validating the use of M4-BAC-GFP mice as tissue donors in cell replacement therapies in a rodent model of Huntington's disease

► Assessing functional integration of grafts in models of cell based therapies is essential. ► We validated M4-BAC-GFP mice as tissue donor in a model of Huntington's disease. ► The embryonic striatal tissue survived, integrated, continued to express GFP up to 6 months. ► BAC-GFP mice provide a novel way to study graft-host interaction in neurodegenerative models.
