The temporal pattern of postnatal neurogenesis found in the neocortex of the Göttingen minipig brain

▶Postnatal changes of neocortical parameters in G-mini were examined with stereology. ▶Significant increase in neuron number was seen from day 1-14 and day 30-100. ▶Postnatal brain growth in weight and neocortical volume was similar to humans. ▶G-mini-based disease models of neurodegeneration should only be used after day 100. ▶Timeline of G-mini brain development may be useful for neuroregeneration studies.
