Cholinergic modulation on spike timing-dependent plasticity in hippocampal CA1 network

▶The influence of mAChR activation on STDP was investigated. ▶LTP was facilitated and LTD was abolished by cholinergic inputs. ▶STDP was shifted toward potentiation as the concentration of ACh increase. ▶Excess ACh prevented the induction of synaptic plasticity.
