The rs10947803 SNP of KCNK17 is associated with cerebral hemorrhage but not ischemic stroke in a Chinese population

► We are the first demonstrate the association of KCNK17 polymorphism with hemorrhagic stroke in Chinese population. ► The MAF for KCNK17 polymorphism is higher in Chinese than that of Europeans. ► Our finding did not support the association of KCNK17 with ischemic stroke in Chinese population.
