Differential modulation of reciprocal inhibition in ankle muscles during rhythmic arm cycling

► We explored arm cycling effects on reciprocal inhibition between TA and SOL muscles. ► Arm movement enhanced reciprocal inhibition from TA to SOL but not from SOL to TA. ► Reciprocal inhibition amplitude was graded with stimulus intensity for both muscles. ► Arm movement may access locomotor spinal networks that have asymmetrical outputs.
