A118G Mu Opioid Receptor polymorphism increases inhibitory effects on CaV2.2 channels

► We tested the impact of N40D hMOR polymorphism on CaV2.2 inhibition. ► N40D reduce the agonist concentration needed to inhibit CaV2.2e37a by hMOR. ► N40D effect on the agonist requirements is independent on exon 37a/b CaV2.2 site. ► N40D does not modify the voltage dependency of the inhibitory effect on CaV2.2e37a.
