β1-Adrenoceptor stimulation enhances the differentiation of mouse induced pluripotent stem cells into neural progenitor cells

► Mouse iPS cells expressed β1-adrenoceptors predominantly. ► Treatment with isoproterenol significantly enhanced ATRA-induced Nestin expression. ► Pretreatment with atenolol significantly inhibited the isoproterenol-enhancement. ► Pretreatment with H89 significantly inhibited the isoproterenol-enhancement. ► The isoproterenol treatment significantly enhanced ATRA-induced NeuN expression.
