Do false belief and verb non-factivity share similar neural circuits?

► We investigate the ERP component of comprehension of strong non-factive verbs. ► We compare it with the false belief thinking based on standard nonverbal tasks. ► Results show mostly similar patterns of signal distribution for the two activities. ► Hence false belief and its grammatical device may have common neural basis.
