Cognition in Chinese children with benign childhood epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (BCECTS)

► Children with BCECTS have learning and behavioral difficulties. ► There is language dysfunction in Chinese children with BCECTS. ► There is a correlation between SWI and language deficits in children with BCECTS. ► Language deficits are not dependent on age of onset, disease course, seizure frequency, spike location or seizure type. ► This study suggests that Chinese BCECTS children also exhibit language problems.
