Age-related changes of task-specific brain activity in normal aging

► Spectral power, phase-locking, and cross-phase coherence of ERPs were studied. ► Activity increases in spectral power were found for healthy elderly people. ► Phase-locking decreased with age, specifically in the early theta component. ► Cross-phase coherence decreased with age in the alpha and beta bands.
