Neuroprotective effects of tenuigenin in a SH-SY5Y cell model with 6-OHDA-induced injury

► We examine the effect of tenuigenin on 6-OHDA-induced injury. ► Tenuigenin significantly promotes cell viability and reduces cell death. ► Mitochondrial membrane potential is protected by tenuigenin. ► Tenuigenin results in down-regulation of caspase-3. ► Tenuigenin provides neuroprotection to dopaminergic neurons.
