Transcranial direct current stimulation influences the cardiac autonomic nervous control

► tDCS increased parasympathetic and decreased sympathetic activity in athletic group. ► No significant changes in HRV indexes were provoked by sham condition in groups. ► tDCS applied on left temporal cortex improved the modulation of HR control.
