Unilateral infarction of the visual cortex (VC) induced an increase in dendritic spine turnover in contralateral VC

▶ Stroke in visual cortex induced turnover of mushroom spine in contralateral hemisphere. ▶ Turnover of mushroom spine was increased at 1 week after stroke. ▶ Magnitude of change was small compared with those in the case of somatosensory cortex.
