Assessment of auditory nonlinearity for listeners with different hearing losses using temporal masking and categorical loudness scaling

► The parameter outer hair cell loss is highly correlated to the parameter gain loss. ► The parameter gain loss is proportional to total hearing loss but 10-15 dB lower. ► TMC and ACALOS both estimate consistently the parameter outer hair cell loss. ► ACALOS is a much more time-efficient measurement method than TMC.
