Acaricidal effects of fluazuron (2.5 mg/kg) and a combination of fluazuron (1.6 mg/kg) + ivermectin (0.63 mg/kg), administered at different routes, against Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus parasitizing cattle

- We compare the acaricide effect of fluazuron administered in different routes.
- Pour-on fluazuron demonstrated high acaricidal efficacy, against R. microplus.
- Injectable fluazuron + ivermectin showed efficacy lower/similar to injectable ivermectin.
- Future studies with the injectable fluazuron + ivermectin should be conducted.
