Enhanced expression of IL-10 in contrast to IL-12B mRNA in poultry with experimental coccidiosis

► Involvement of IL-10 and IL-12B in host response to Eimeria tenella was proposed. ► Enhanced expression of IL-10 mRNA have been observed in the caecum and the liver. ► Lack of significant changes in IL-12B mRNA levels have been found. ► IL-10 mRNA levels are restored to normal after sulfachlorpyrazine treatment.
