The role of liposome size on the type of immune response induced in BALB/c mice against leishmaniasis: rgp63 as a model antigen

► Liposome's size plays a significant role in the type of generated immune response. ► A liposomal delivery system was developed to induce CMI against leishmaniasis. ► Immunization with large liposomes (⩾400 nm) showed the best protection. ► Small liposomes (∼100 nm) induced the same protection rate as rgp63 in soluble form.
