Action of sisal (Agave sisalana, Perrine) extract in the in vitro development of sheep and goat gastrointestinal nematodes

► We evaluate Agave sisalana extract on sheep and goats nematodes. ► The results show a dose-dependent relationship. ► The best LC50 and LC95 occur in the LDT with 0.041 and 0.067 mg/mL, respectively. ► The development and feeding inhibition on L1 are both 100% at a dose of 0.12 mg/mL. ► A. sisalana action on L1 in the feces may reduce the pasture contamination.
