The generation and evaluation of two panels of epitope-matched mouse IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b and IgG3 antibodies specific for Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium yoelii merozoite surface protein 1-19 (MSP119)

► We generated two panels of epitope-matched mouse IgGs anti-PfMSP119 and PyMSP119. ► All IgGs were confirmed to be of the correct subclass and bound to the antigens. ► IgG1 triggers PfMSP119-specific NADPH oxidase activation through FcγR cross-linking. ► Passive transfer of IgG1 anti-PfMSP119 did not protect mice from infection.
