Differentiation of Entamoeba histolytica: A possible role for enolase

► Enolase was identified in vesicles with fibrilar content present in Entamoeba histolytica trophozoites recovered from liver lesions, this protein was also located in the cyst wall of cysts obtained from human stools. ► Our results suggest that enolase may play a role during differentiation of Entamoeba histolytica.
