Pathogenesis of restricted movements in trichinellosis: An experimental study

► We investigated the possible causes of restricted movements of joints in rats. ► Trichinella causes inflammation and ulceration of synovium and articular cartilage. ► Also there was T. spiralis immune complex deposited in the synovial membrane. ► Immune complex deposition can induce arthritis in rats infected with T. spiralis.
