Susceptibility to re-infection in C57BL/6 mice with recombinant strains of Toxoplasma gondii

► BALB/c mice are susceptible to re-infection with EGS but not with CH3 strain of Toxoplasma gondii. ► C57BL/6 mice are susceptible to re-infection with EGS and CH3 strains of T. gondii. ► Re-infection depends on mice lineage and genotype of T. gondii used in the challenge.
