Stoichiometric response of dominant grasses to fire and mowing in a semi-arid grassland

► Prescribed annual burning and mowing had no effects on nutrient quality of green leaves after two years treatments. ► Fire reduced C:N and C:P of senesced leaves. ► Green and senesced leaves showed different responses to fire and mowing. ► Fire decreased N and P resorption efficiency of the dominant grasses.
