Anomalous concentrations of rare earth elements in the moss-soil system from south-central Poland

► We determined REE concentrations in moss and soil samples. ► The samples showed a predominance of Ce and La. ► After normalization, fractionation between LREEs and HREEs was not observed. ► The normalized patterns showed higher concentrations of MREEs. ► We presented anomalous REE concentrations and methods of their interpretation.
