Study of PCBs and PBDEs in King George Island, Antarctica, using PUF passive air sampling

► PUF-based passive air sampling was conducted in King George Island, Antarctica. ► Atmospheric levels of ∑ indicator PCBs ranged from 1.66 to 6.50 pg m−3. ► The air concentrations of ∑ PBDEs ranged from 0.67 to 2.98 pg m−3. ► LRAT and local sources from research stations were suspected as main sources. ► This study demonstrates the feasibility of using PUF samplers in Antarctic air.
