Synthesis and fabrication of nanostructured hydrophobic polyazole membranes for low-energy water recovery

► Novel hydrophobic fluorinated polytriazole synthesized and reported for the first time. ► Porous hydrophobic fluorinated polytriazole and polyoxadiazole manufactured for the first time by phase inversion and by electrospinning. ► Electrospun membranes tested in DCMD setups with sea water as feed with excellent salt retention and water fluxes.
