Assessment of internal condition of waste in a roofed landfill

► The moisture balance and aeration conditions in a roofed landfill was examined. ► The moisture remained in waste layer was less than optimal moisture level for biodegradation. ► In situ aeration test revealed that aerobic biodegradation had not occurred despite of semi-aerobic structure.
