A membrane-based study for the recovery of polyphenols from bergamot juice

► Bergamot is a natural citrus fruit essentially used for the production of essential oil. ► The juice is considered a waste of the essential oil production. ► A membrane-based process was studied for the recovery of polyphenols from the juice. ► The aim was to develop a natural product suitable for nutraceutical applications. ► Membranes performance (productivity and composition of produced fractions) was also evaluated.
