Influence of landscape pattern in flour residue amount and distribution on Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) response to traps baited with pheromone and kairomone

► Red flour beetle movement and trap encounters measured on flour residue landscapes. ► Flour landscapes varied in percent flour coverage and distribution. ► On fragmented landscapes, beetles encountered more baited- than unbaited-traps. ► On clumped landscapes, beetles were not more likely to find baited traps. ► Changes in beetle movement pathways did not explain differences in trap encounters.
