A new time series of particle export from neutrally buoyant sediments traps at the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study site

► Fluxes from neutrally buoyant sediment traps and surface-tethered traps agreed in most months of a three-year time series. ► Removal of swimmers and determination of process blanks were important methodological considerations. ► Undersampling by sediment traps as a cause of the Sargasso Sea carbon imbalance is not supported by this data.
