Absolute velocity along the AR7W section in the Labrador Sea

► Strong barotropic flow in the interior part of AR7W suggests no level of no motion. ► Strong variability is observed in Labrador Sea boundary current transports, 22-57 Sv. ► Poleward EBC transport exceeds equatorward WBC transport in the upper ocean. ► Circulation is more vigorous and variable than suggested by earlier studies. ► Intensification of abyssal currents is observed in the central Labrador Sea.
